Iran sentences blogger to 19.5 yrs. of prison

The sentence of Iranian blogger Hossein Derakhshan was announced today to his lawyer.

According to a sentence which was issued today by the 15^th branch of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran headed by Judge Salavati, Derakhshan who was arrested in October 2008 was sentenced to 19 and a half years of prison, a five year ban on membership in parties and media activities and returning funds given to him in the amount of 3,750 euros, 2,900 dollars and 22 British pounds on charges of cooperating with hostile countries, propagating against the Islamic government, advertising for anti-revolutionary grouplets, insulting sanctities and running and managing immoral websites.

Hossein Derakhshan was one of the first to blog in Farsi and wrote about himself, politics and the Iranian culture in both Farsi and English in his weblog called ‘My Own Editor’. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – Sep. 28, 2010)

Iran murders second Kahrizak doctor who had evidence of systematic prison rape and sexual abuse

According to reports, Dr. Abdolreza Soudbakhsh, an assistant professor at Tehran University who was shot and killed last week was linked to the Kahrizak Detention Center its prisoners who were suffering from infections in the urinary tract and damaged reproductive systems (as a result of rape and sexual abuse in Kahrizak) and had orders from security forces to officially announce that all prisoners who came to him for treatment had meningitis.

This university professor was suspiciously shot and killed one day before going abroad.

Therefore, Soudbakhsh is the second doctor who was killed in the past year over this issue. 

Ramin Pourandarjani, another doctor who was serving in the State Security Forces in the

Kahrizak Detention Center suspiciously passed away on November 16, 2009. Officials announced his death as suicide…

According to this report Soudbakhsh was informed about the medical cases of all those killed in the Kahrizak Detention Center. In addition to this, he was specialist and checked and treated all Kahrizak prisoners and had special information in this regard.

This report also said that Soudbakhsh recently felt that his life was in danger because of increased pressure by security forces.

He had a ticket to leave Iran on September 22 and was shot dead outside of his clinic in Keshavarz Blvd in Tehran less than a day before he was to go abroad. (Jaras Website – Sep. 27, 23010)

Iran sentences Baha’i woman to two years of prison

Lava Khanjani, a Baha’i who has been banned from continuing her education because of her faith and was arrested on January 3, 2010 was sentenced to two years of prison.

According to reports, Khanjani was released on bail from Rajayi Shahr Prison in March 1, 2010. Notably, she is the granddaughter of Jamaloddin Khanjani, one of the seven Baha’i leaders who were recently sentenced to 10 years of prison. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – Sep. 28, 2010)

Kurd activist sentenced to 10 years of prison without right to lawyer

A resident of the Salemaneh Village in Marivan was sentenced to 10 years of prison.

Gharib Fatemi, 45, who was arrested nine months ago by security forces, was sentenced to 10 years of prison.

He was charged with cooperating with dissident parties and is currently in the Marivan Central Prison. According to those close to this Kurd activist, he was denied the right to a lawyer in all the stages of his legal procedure. (Kurdish Perspective – Sep. 28, 2010)

Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company drivers forced to pledge not to talk to media

According to reports, the Protection Department of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company are trying to force the employees of this company to sign pledges that they will not talk to internal or external press about company problems.

In the past few days, under the orders of the Protection Department, it has been announced in all districts that employees in Tehran have to sign a pledge which says that all drivers are committed not to talk about the issues of the company including the condition of detained union activists, the expulsion of employees, not receiving their wages and bonuses, inhumane treatment of the Protection Department with drivers, hard working conditions and other issues. محکوميت حسين درخشان به نوزده و نيم سال حبس تعزيري

حکم دادگاه حسين درخشان، وبلاگ نويس ايراني امروز به متهم و وکيل وي ابلاغ شد.

به گزارش مشرق، بنا بر اين حکم که امروز از سوي شعبه 15 دادگاه انقلاب اسلامي به رياست قاضي صلواتي صادر شد، درخشان که در مهرماه 87 بازداشت شده است، به جرم همکاري با دول متخاصم، تبليغ عليه نظام اسلامي، تبليغ به نفع گروهک هاي ضد انقلاب، توهين به مقدسات و راه اندازي و مديريت سايت هاي مبتذل و مستهجن، به 19.5 سال حبس تعزيري، پنج سال محروميت از عضويت در احزاب و فعاليت در رسانه ها و بازگرداندن وجوه اخذشده به مبلغ 30هزار و 750 يورو، دوهزار و 900 دلار و 200 پوند انگليس محکوم شد.

حسين درخشان از پيشتازان وبلاگ نويسي به زبان فارسي است، و در وبلاگ خود به نام «سردبير خودم» به زبان‌هاي فارسي و انگليسي در مورد خودش و سياست و فرهنگ ايران قلم مي‌زد. (هرانا – 6/7/89)

دکتر سودبخش دومين قرباني جامعه پزشکي کشور در فاجعه کهريزک

بنا به گزارش منابع خبري جرس، دکتر عبدالرضا سودبخش، دانشيار دانشگاه تهران که طي هفته گذشته مورد سوء قصد مسلحانه قرار گرفته و جان باخته است، از پزشکان مرتبط با پرونده بازداشتگاه کهريزک و زندانياني بوده است که از بيماريهاي عفوني در مجاري اداري و تناسلي آسيب ديده بودند و مقامات امنيتي به وي دستور داده بودند که بيماري کليه زندانياني که به وي مراجعه کرده بودند را، رسما مننژيت اعلام کند.

اين استاد دانشگاه، يک روز قبل از سفر از ايران و عزيمت به خارج، بطرز مشکوکي مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفت و جان باخت.

بدين ترتيب عبدالرضا سودبخش دومين پزشکي است که طي يک سال اخير، در اين رابطه کشته شده است.

رامين پوراندرجاني، پزشک وظيفه بازداشتگاه کهريزک نيز، ٢۵ آبان ۸۸ بطرز مشکوکي درگذشت؛ که مقامات آنرا "خودکشي اعلام کردند...

اين گزارش خاطرنشان مي کند که "سود بخش از پرونده پزشکي کليه شهداي بازداشتگاه کهريزک مطلع بوده است، بعلاوه وي پزشک متخصصي بوده است که تمامي زندانيان کهريزک و اوين را معاينه کرده بود و داراي اطلاعات خاصي در اين زمينه بوده است."

گزارش مذکور همچنين آورده است :سودبخش  اخيرا  از  فشارهاي فزاينده نيروهاي امنيتي احساس مي کرد  جانش درخطر است.

وي بليط عزيمت به خارج را براي روز سي و يکم شهريور در دست داشت که کمتر از يک روز قبل از خروج از کشور، در مقابل مطبش در بلوار کشاورز تهران، با گلوله ترور و در دم کشته شد. (جرس – 5/7/89)

محکوميت لوا خانجاني به دو سال حبس تعزيري

لوا خانجاني شهروند محروم از تحصيل بهايي که در تاريخ ۱۳ دي ۱۳۸۸ بازداشت شده بود، به دو سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شد.

به گزارش جمعيت مبارزه با تبعيض تحصيلي، اين شهروند بهائي در تاريخ ۱۰ اسفند با قرار وثيقه از زندان رجائي شهر آزاد گرديده بود . لازم به ذکر مي باشد لوا خانجاني نوه جمال الدين خانجاني يکي از هفت نفر مديران جامعه بهائي که اخيرا به ۱۰ سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شده است مي باشد. (هرانا – 6/7/89)

يک شهروند مريواني به ده سال زندان محکوم شد

در ادامه صدور احکام سنگين حبس براي فعالان کرد، يکي از اهالي روستاي "ئالمانه" واقع در شهرستان مريوان به ده سال زندان محکوم شد.

به گزارش کرديش پرسپکتيو، غريب فاطمي، ۴۵ ساله و اهل روستاي ئالمانه‌ مريوان که نه ماه پيش از سوي نيروهاي امنيتي دستگير گرديد به ده سال زندان محکوم شده است.

اتهام اين شهروند کرد همکاري با احزاب مخالف نظام عنوان شده و نامبرده هم اينک در زندان مرکزي مريوان به سر مي برد.

به گفته نزديکان اين فعال دربند، آقاي فاطمي در هيچ يک از مراحل دادرسي وکيل نداشته است. (کرديش پرسپکتيو – 6/7/89)

گرفتن تعهد کتبي از کارکنان شرکت واحد براي عدم بيان مشکلات کاري خود

بنابه گزارشات رسيده به "فعالين حقوق بشر و دمکراسي در ايران" حراست شرکت واحد، کارکنان شرکت اتوبوس راني تهران و حومه را وادار به امضاي تعهدي مي کند که رانندگان در مورد مسايل شرکت واحد با هيچ رسانه اي اعم از داخلي و يا خارجي حق مصاحبه ندارند.

در طي چند روز گذشته به دستور حراست شرکت واحد تهران به کليه نواحي اعلام شده است که کارکنان نواحي مختلف تهران بايد تعهدي را امضا نمايند که در آن نوشته شده است؛ که کليه رانندگان متعهد مي شوند که در مورد مسايل شرکت واحد از جمله؛ وضعيت و شرايط اعضاي دستگير شده سنديکا، اخراج کارکنان،عدم پرداخت حقوق و مزايا،برخورهاي غير انساني حراست و کميته انظباطي با کارکنان،شرايط سخت کاري و مشکلات ديگر کارکنان با هيچ رسانه اي اعم از داخلي و خارجي حق مصاحبه را ندارند.
